As the whole BBQ/Smoker community evolves, so do we. Our smokers are made from solid steel, the backyard smokers have a cooking chamber of 6 mm thick, the bigger ones as well, All our fireboxes have a skin of 9 mm thick. We certainly go for quality. As a follow-up to protect your BBQ/Smoker from rust we have now 2 options available.
Heat resistant paint (mat black)
1. Black heat-resistant paint. This paint gives the unit great protection from the elements. It protects against rust and is special made to resist high temperatures. We could say that this is the traditional way of finishing your unit.
Oiled (patina look)
2. Oiled. We also can protect your unit by oiling it. This special oil is applied to your unit. Under high heat, over 400 degrees Fahrenheit, the oil will penetrate into the steel and gives the BBQ/Smoker great protection against rust. All the steel and weldings are visible as the smoker was put together. It gives the unit that “patina” look.
